King Pong Mania started as my entry to a programming contest and became my first complete end-to-end project where I created everything from scratch - models, audio, gameplay, and UI. It's a simple concept: keep the ball in the air by moving your paddle, collect bananas for currency, and unlock new skins.

What makes this project special isn't its complexity, but what it represents. It was my proving ground for learning game development fundamentals, and years later, I completely remade it to showcase how much my technical skills had evolved.

The game captures that satisfying feeling of bouncing a ball on a paddle in real life - something you can't always do anywhere you want. It's designed as the perfect time-killer for those 5-10 minute moments when you're waiting for a bus or have a few minutes to spare.

Through this remake, I learned valuable lessons about when to add features and when to cut them. The original had more complex mechanics that broke the game's flow, teaching me that sometimes less truly is more.
